Rep. Massa Rips Into Obama for Forcing Him to Resign to Ram Through Health Bill

Freshman Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.), who voted against the genocidal cap-and-trade bill and the House version of the Nazi-modeled health-care bill, was forced to resign effective 5 p.m. Monday afternoon. By his publicly voiced calculation this past weekend, his vote was key to stopping House passage of the Senate version of the bill.

"Mine is now the deciding vote on the health-care bill. And this administration and this House leadership have said, quote-unquote, they will stop at nothing to pass this health-care bill. And now they've gotten rid of me and it will pass. You connect the dots."

Massa didn't mince words. In a weekend interview on WKPQ in Rochester, he said, "Rahm Emanuel is son of the devil's spawn. He is an individual who would sell his mother to get a vote. He would strap his children to the front end of a steam locomotive.

"When I voted against the cap and trade bill, the phone rang, and it was the chief of staff to the President of the United States of America, Rahm Emanuel, and he started swearing at me in terms and words that I hadn't heard since that crossing-the-line ceremony on the USS New Jersey in 1983," Massa said.

According to Roll Call, several times during the broadcast Massa raised the prospect of rescinding his resignation if national news media picked up on his story of being railroaded out of office by Democratic leaders. As of mid-afternoon, CQ reported that his chief of staff said Massa is going to go ahead with his resignation. But he has certainly not shut up, granting feisty interviews to Fox's Glenn Beck and others.

In response to a caller's suggestion that he not resign, Massa made it clear he had received mafia-style intimidation: "It means that a group of lawyers are going to try to rip me and my family limb from limb. And you've already seen it in the newspapers. It's a piranha feeding frenzy."

Massa had earlier said he would not run for a second term because of health reasons, that it had nothing to do with the House so-called ethics investigation that has been launched against him. He has also explained in detail the circumstances surrounding the ridiculous charges against him of sexual harassment of a male staffer.
